KATHMANDU: English Premier League club Nottingham Forest has signed Brazilian midfielder Danilo.
Danilo has signed a 6-and-a-half-year contract with Forest.
Nottingham Forest signed Brazilian midfielder Danilo from Palmeiras on a contract until 2029, the Premier League side said on Monday.
The 21-year-old made 141 appearances in all competitions with Palmeiras, winning two Copa Libertadores and the domestic league and cup titles.
“I’m really happy to be fulfilling my dream of playing in the Premier League and playing for Nottingham Forest,” said Danilo, who will be wearing shirt No. 28.
“I will be determined and have a strong desire to win, and I will always strive to do my best on the field in order to achieve positive results. I’m looking forward to getting started and meeting my new teammates.”
Filippo Giraldi, Forest’s sporting director, added: “We are thrilled to have Danilo join our club and our city. He is a fantastic talent who will be a valuable asset to Nottingham Forest both now and in the future.”
