Gandaki: UML’s Bina Kumari Thapa elected as deputy speaker

POKHARA: Bina Kumari Thapa of Baglung has been elected as Gandaki State’s deputy speaker. She obtained 32 votes in her favor and 26 votes against her.

Sushila Simkhada supported Govinda Nepali’s proposal to make Thapa the Deputy Speaker.

The Congress had also been nominated as the Deputy Speaker of Gandaki.

Lamjung’s Parbati Tamang has been named a candidate. Nanda Prasad Neupane proposed him, and Dorna Kunwar supported him.

There was no division of votes on Parbati’s proposal after she was elected.

Krishna Dhital of Maoist has been elected as the speaker here on Poush 30 (Jan 14).
