Man drowns in canal

KATHMANDU: Himal Thapa, 40, of Barahkshetra Municipality-7 Battis Ardi, died after drowning in the Chatara Jhumka canal on Monday afternoon.

As soon as it was learned that he had drowned in the canal, the police stationed at a district police station in Mahendranagar began searching with the assistance of locals and discovered his body in the canal.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
