Chelsea sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk
The 22-year-old forward has signed an eight-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea.
KATHMANDU: English Premier League club Chelsea have signed forward Mykhailo Mudrik.
Chelsea have signed the Ukrainian forward from Shakhtar Donetsk for £89m.
The 22-year-old forward has signed an eight-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea.
“I’m delighted to sign for Chelsea,” he said after the deal. “This is a huge club, in a fantastic league and it is a very attractive project for me at this stage of my career. I’m excited to meet my new teammates and I’m looking forward to working and learning under Graham Potter and his staff.”
Mudryk was introduced to the Stamford Bridge crowd at half-time during their Premier League match against Crystal Palace. He will wear the No 15 shirt.
He scored seven goals in 12 league games for Shakhtar this season.
Arsenal had a chance to sign him as well.
