Kamal KC : Been flying aircrafts or over two decades
According to a Yeti Airlines employee, he was a resident of Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu.
KATHMANDU: At around 11 a.m. on Sunday, a Yeti Airlines plane flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara crashed in the Seti River gorge in Pokhara.
The Yeti Airlines flight, which took off from Kathmandu Airport at 10:33 a.m., carried 72 passengers and four crew members.
So far, the bodies of 32 people who died in the crash have been recovered. The rescue operation is still going on.
The ATR plane carrying 68 passengers was flown by pilot Kamal KC. The crew consisted of co-pilot Anju Khatiwada and two air hostesses Srijana Hongchung and Oshin Ale Magar.
The aircraft’s pilot, Kamal KC, is a trainer pilot. According to a Yeti Airlines employee, he was a resident of Budhanilkantha in Kathmandu and had been flying for over two decades.
After completing the pilot course, KC worked for Nepal Airlines for a few years after starting at Yeti Airlines 15 years ago.
