KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reached at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) following the crash of a Yeti Airlines ANC ATR 72 plane carrying passengers from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
The Prime Minister reached the rescue coordination center at the airport and took a detailed account of the incident.
During the inspection, the Prime Minister took information about the technical and other reasons for the crash.
Airport staff informed the Prime Minister about the incident. The Prime Minister has instructed all the government agencies to effectively start rescue operations and has called an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers at 1:30 today.
Government officials including the Prime Minister as well as Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane are present in the inspection.
