POKHARA: A plane of Yeti Airlines flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara met with an accident in the gorge of Pokhara Seti River on Sunday morning.

The plane took off from Kathmandu airport at 10:33 a.m. with four crew members and 68 passengers. There were a total of 72 people in the plane flown by pilot Kamal KC, 6 children including 3 infants and 62 adults, 4 crew members including 2 pilots and 2 hostesses. The other driver was Anju Khatiwada while the co-pilot, S Hunchu and OA Magar were the hostesses.

So far, 32 bodies have been recovered from the crashed site.

Chief District Officer of Kaski, Tek Bahadur KC, said that since almost 80 percent of the aircraft was burnt, it is unlikely that anyone will be found alive.

The fire on the aircraft could not be extinguished till 12:30 pm in the morning.
