Shivam Cements held its seventh AGM
The Annual General Meeting approved resolutions, including the proposal to pay cash dividends to shareholders at a rate of 10.53 (ten point five three) percent (including tax) from the profit of fiscal year 2078/079.
KATHMANDU: Shivam Cement Limited held its seventh annual general meeting of the fiscal year 2078-079 on Poush 29 (Jan 13) Friday, at Hotel Samana in Hetauda.
Mr. Surendra Kumar Goyal, the company’s executive chairperson, presided over the annual general meeting. The Annual General Meeting approved resolutions, including the proposal to pay cash dividends to shareholders at a rate of 10.53 (ten point five three) percent (including tax) from the profit of fiscal year 2078/079.
Mr. Rohit Gupta, Mr. Gaurav Goyal, Mr. Raghunandan Maru, Mr. Gaurav Sharda, and Mr. Shailaja Rai were elected as directors for the next four years at the meeting. Mr. Gaurav Goyal was elected chairperson of the board of directors at a meeting of newly elected directors held at the meeting location.
In addition, in the same meeting, the board of directors decided and recommended for approval the appointment of Mr. Chandra Kumar Ghimirejeu, who is also the former secretary of the Government of Nepal, as an independent professional expert director, and formed a six-member board of directors.
Passing the annual report of the board of directors for the fiscal year 2078/079, the auditor’s report, and the decision to appoint Mr. Subodh Associates and Chartered Accountant, Kathmandu as an auditor to audit the income and expenditure of the fiscal year 2079/080 and to determine the company’s remuneration. Some employees who did outstanding work were also recognized.
