2 terrorists arrested in Pakistan’s Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Two terrorists were apprehended in an operation by the counter-terrorism department in Pakistan’s east Punjab province, local reports said on Friday.

The terrorists belonging to the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan were arrested during a search operation in the Multan district of Punjab, the reports said.

The law enforcement agencies also recovered arms and ammunition from the custody of the arrested terrorists, who were shifted to some undisclosed location for investigation, the reports added.

Police have intensified operations across Punjab recently, during which 14 terrorists were detained in multiple combing operations, but their identities have not been revealed yet.
