KATHMANDU: The CPN Unified Socialist Party Chairperson and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal met with a Japanese Parliament delegation.

Masaaki Taira, a member of the Japanese Parliament, was invited to the party’s central office in Aloknagar’s Meen Bhawan.

The meeting covered the Nepal-Japan relationship, the economy, the hydropower project, tourism, the Narayanhiti Durbar Museum, and other issues of Japanese government support.

There was a discussion about the relationship between political parties active in Japan and various political parties in Nepal. Suggestions for Japan’s economic investment priorities were shared during the meeting. The role of Nepali workers in Japan, as well as Nepal’s contribution to labor, has been acknowledged by Japan.

Nepal discussed how Japan’s role in the development, promotion, and protection of hydropower projects, as well as tourism, Narayanhiti Palace Museum, is admirable for Nepal’s development.
