Sandeep Case: Hearing in High Court today

KATHMANDU: The extortion case of Sandeep Lamichhane, the suspended captain of the national cricket team, is being heard in the high court today.

Lamichhane’s lawyer informed the court that a hearing on whether to release Lamichhane will be held today in the High Court.

Sandeep’s hearing will be held before a bench of High Court Judges Dhurbaraj Bhattarai and Ramesh Dhakal, according to his lawyer Sarojkrishna Ghimire. Ghimire ranks him third in terms of speed.

On Aug 22, the girl filed a complaint, claiming that she was coerced into doing so. Sandeep was arrested from Tribhuvan International Airport on Oct 6.
