I did important work by giving leave on Prithvi Jayanti: PM Dahal

POKHARA: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda stated that the government has sent a meaningful message by declaring a holiday on Prithvi Jayanti.

He went to Gorkha to celebrate the Gorkha festival, and he said he honored the Gorkhali people by giving them a holiday on Prithvi Jayanti.

“We have decided to declare a holiday on Prithvi Jayanti,” he said. It has far-reaching implications.’

He visited Gorkha for the first time after becoming Prime Minister and stated that he remains committed to the district’s development.

“I am ready to fulfill whatever development commitment I made during the election,” he said before, “I am ready to fulfill my commitment to expanding the road network, build the Budigandaki project and operate the Palungtar airport with upgrading.”

Prachanda believes that having a Minister of Physical Infrastructure alongside the Prime Minister is a fantastic opportunity for Gorkhas.

‘I have become Prime Minister,’ he said, adding that Narayan Kajiji had been appointed Minister of Physical Infrastructure. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There is also an opportunity for a Gorkha in the state to become a minister. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.’

Prachanda has argued that as the prime minister of national consensus, this is an important and happy occasion for Gorkhas.
