CM Adhikari and PM met, discussion to make state effective

KATHMANDU: Gandaki Chief Minister Khagraj Adhikari has met Party Chair KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda after being appointed as Chief Minister. He went to Kathmandu on Tuesday.

He stated that discussions were held during the meeting to make the province stronger and more effective. ‘Now the question of the state has been raised. ‘We have to make it effective and respond with work,’ he said. ‘We discussed the province’s overall development and stability.’ He stated that he has drawn the Federal Government’s attention to the construction of permanent state structures.

According to Adhikari Prime Minister Prachanda has also given positive feedback on strengthening the state.

Talking to Makalu Khabar, the official said, ‘His response to institutionalize federalism is very positive. I have also drawn attention to some plans,’ he said, ‘we agreed that the legitimacy of the province can only be confirmed through work.’

Adhikari was appointed Chief Minister on Monday with the support of 33 MPs. On the same day, he was sworn in and reinstated. Adhikari are preparing for the vote of confidence on Jan 13.

He stated that if Congress at the federal level also gave the government a vote of confidence, he would ask the state Congress to do the same. ‘I request that the Congress. ‘We can only develop the province together,’ he said.
