POKHARA: Khagraj Adhikari, Chief Minister of the Gandaki region, has flown to Kathmandu the day after taking the oath of office.

He went to Kathmandu to meet UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. Adhikari will return to Pokhara on Wednesday.

The officials are expected to discuss government formation issues during their meetings with the top leaders. On Monday, three ministers took their oaths alongside the Chief Minister. However, their work descriptions are vague.

According to reports, the Chief Minister will decide on the size of the government and the division of ministerial responsibilities only after the vote of confidence.

Hari Bahadur Chuman of the Maoist Party, Sita Kumari Sundas of the UML, and Pancharam Gurung of the RPP all became ministers in the first phase.

Adhikari is preparing for a vote of confidence on Jan 13. The information about the vote of confidence has reached the parliament secretariat, according to government spokesperson and minister Sita Sundas.
