KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, is visiting Gorkha.
Prachanda traveling to Gorkha today to kick off the 11th Gorkha Festival at the Harmatari Sports Ground. Prachanda is visiting Gorkha for the first time since becoming Prime Minister.
Prachanda, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Gorkha Constituency No. 2, took office as Prime Minister on Dec 25. On Tuesday, he received an unprecedented vote of confidence in Parliament.
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Prabhuram Sharma is on his way to Gorkha today. Army Chief Sharma is visiting Gorkha to dedicate the Prithvi Narayan Shah statue in Gorkha Municipality-6 Thulo Angan. The Nepali Army will also march in traditional attire on this occasion.
