Govt’s decision to give a holiday on Prithvi Jayanti is welcome: Chair Lingden

KATHMANDU: Rajendra Lingden, Chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), has welcomed the government’s decision to declare a holiday on Prithvi Narayan Shah’s birth anniversary.

He applauded the government’s decision during a House of Representatives meeting.

“Prithvi Narayan Shah was and now Nepal is the nation,” he said, “Nepal is the nation and now Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has become the Prime Minister of Nepal. That being the case, there is no reason to feel embarrassed when giving holiday on Prithvi Jayanti.’

He stated that because the RPP is proposing to make Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, he will also give him a vote of confidence.
