Bagmati State CM decides to decrease number of ministries

KATHMANDU: Salikram Jamarkattel, the newly-appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati State, has decided to reduce the number of ministries in the state as he takes office today.

He signed a paper to this connection while assuming office.

Chief Minister Jamarkattel signed a decision to form a task force for reducing the number of ministries, which will be coordinated by the Chief Secretary at the Chief Minister’s Office, Mukunda Prasad Niraula.

The task force will submit its report within 15 days.

In brief comments after assuming office, Chief Minister Jamarkattel said a decision to cut back on the number of ministries in the state has been made to address the public concerns that the number of ministries in the state was comparatively high.
