KATHMANDU: The Meteorology Division reports that the western low-pressure system is now influencing Nepal.

There is a chance of light snowfall in a few places in the country’s highlands and Himalayan regions in the afternoon. This sequence, according to the meteorologist, will continue at night.

The department has requested that precautions be taken due to the possibility of heavy snowfall in the highlands and Himalayan areas, which could disrupt daily life, health, road and air traffic.
