JAKARTA: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted off Indonesia’s East Java province on Monday evening, the country’s meteorology, climatology and geophysics agency said.
The quake struck at 19:26 p.m. local time (12:26 GMT) with its epicenter located at 90 km southeast of Pacitan district and a depth of 10 km under the seabed, the agency said.
The quake did not potentially trigger a tsunami, it added.
