First meeting of Parliament: Ranjita Shrestha on opposition bench

KATHMANDU: Ranjita Shrestha sat on the opposition bench in the first meeting of Parliament.

In the first meeting of the Parliament, MPs from the CPN Unified Socialist and Nagarik Unmukti Party sat on the opposition bench in the Parliament.

Although the Civil Liberties Party supports the government, it has said that it will not join the government until the release of Resham Chaudhary. The Nagarik Unmukti Party had earlier said that it would support the government.

This is the reason why Ranjita Chaudhary, the president of Nagarik Unmukti Party, is sitting in the opposition in the parliament.

Madhav Nepal, the leader of the Unified Socialist Party, is also sitting on the opposition bench of the Parliament.
