BIRATNAGAR: The newly appointed Chief Minister and Ministers are taking the oath of office and secrecy this afternoon.

Following Hikmat Kumar Karki’s appointment as Chief Minister of State 1 on Sunday, the Office of the Chief Minister has set the oath-taking time for today at 2 p.m.

Today, there is a program in place to administer the oath to ministers based on this. After Indra Bahadur Angbo, the leader of the CPN-Maoist parliamentary party, stated that he would not support the Maoist government, discontent began to emerge within the Maoist party.

CPN-Maoist Center State Assembly Member Durga Chapagain, who is preparing to take the oath for the minister, says that the decision of the Center should be followed. Chapagai said that the decision not to go to the government was not official and informed that a meeting was called at 12 o’clock to discuss this matter. “According to the agreement reached at the center, the decision taken by the center to go to the government should be accepted,” he said.

Today Buddhikumar Rajbhandari and Tilkumar Menyangbo are becoming ministers from CPN-UML. Similarly, Bhakti Sitaula is preparing to be made a minister from RPP. Durga Chapagai from CPN-Maoist was confirmed to be the minister, but due to internal dispute between Jeevan Acharya and Ganesh Upreti, there was confusion as to who should be sent as minister. It is said that the dispute between these two leaders may have led to the decision not to join the Maoist government immediately. Similarly, Nirmala Limbu from the Janata Samajwadi Party is becoming the minister.
