BIRATNAGAR: The CPN-Maoist Centre has decided not to join the government immediately.

Indra Bahadur Angbo, the leader of the CPN-Maoist parliamentary party, said that the environment for going to the government immediately has deteriorated.

Angbo said that after party president and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the Chief Minister would have a half-term tenure, Hikmat Kumar Karki was supported as the Chief Minister by signing it and sending it to the State chiefs, but yesterday evening’s decision was contrary to that and he decided not to join the government. He said, ‘The decision was different from what we were told, that matter is an injustice to our province.’

He expressed dissatisfaction with the agreement reached at the center and said that he will not participate in the government immediately. He also said that the decision of the center has insulted the entire Maoist party of State 1.

Maoists have said that the support given to the government will remain the same. According to the division at the center, CPN-Maoist got the Speaker and CPN-UML got the Chief Minister in State 1.

Maoist Parliamentary Party leader Indra Bahadur Angbo’s announcement that he will not join the government has been said by members of the State Assembly of CPN-Maoist as unexpected.

Everyone wants to be the Chief Minister, the MP said, saying that they will not accept the Centre’s decision when their demands are justified.

According to the MP, it is beyond the party rules and principles to ask the government to go to the government without taking an official decision without holding a party meeting.

CPN-UML’s Hikmat Kumar Karki has been appointed as the Chief Minister of State 1 on Sunday. The swearing-in ceremony with the Chief Minister and ministers is scheduled for 2 pm today.

The Maoist State Assembly members who came prepared to become ministers say that the statement of the leader of the parliamentary party has created confusion.

Today Buddhikumar Rajbhandari and Tilkumar Menyangbo are becoming ministers from CPN-UML. Similarly, Bhakti Sitaula is preparing to be made a minister from RPP.

Durga Chapagain from CPN-Maoist was confirmed to be the minister, but due to an internal dispute between Jeevan Acharya and Ganesh Upreti, there was confusion as to who should be sent as minister. It is said that the dispute between these two leaders may have led to the decision not to join the Maoist government immediately.
