Small-sized cabinet to be formed: CM Karki
He stated that following the vote of confidence in the name of State 1, other issues would be addressed.
KATHMANDU: Hikmat Kumar Karki, the newly appointed Chief Minister of State 1, has stated that State 1 will be named with the agreement of all parties.
After being appointed chief minister, Karki stated that naming the province would be his top priority and that he would try to finalize it as soon as possible with everyone’s agreement.
He stated that following the vote of confidence in the name of State 1, other issues would be addressed.
He claimed that, while he is unsure how many members the Council of Ministers will have, it will be reduced in size. He stated that the ministry will be reduced rather than increased.
He stated that as turn by turn decision in the state is made from the center, the party’s decision will be followed.
He clarified that, while the Maoists have the Speaker, the deal is not yet finalized. He stated that the government will prioritize good governance under his leadership.
