Real Madrid slump to 2-1 defeat at Villarreal as Moreno shines

KATHMANDU: Real Madrid has suffered a defeat in the Spanish La Liga.

Villarreal defeated Real by 2-1 in the match on Saturday night.

Yeremy Pino and Gerard Moreno scored one goal each to give Villarreal the win.

Karim Benzema scored for Real Madrid.

Villarreal took an early lead thanks to Pino’s goal in the 47th minute.

Benzema scored a penalty in the 60th minute of the game to tie the game at 1-1.

Then, in the 63rd minute, Moreno scored to give Real a 2-1 victory.

Villarreal moved up to fifth place with the victory.

In 16 games, Villa has 27 points.

Real is still second with 38 points.

With this defeat, Real has lost the chance to climb to the top spot.
