KATHMANDU: The government is determined to address the citizenship issue.

The government has promised to end the situation in which the children of Nepali citizens do not have citizenship within one month of the completion of the government.

From the first session of Parliament, it is mentioned in the coalition government’s policy priorities and programs to solve other problems related to citizenship.

Similarly, the government has promised that all Nepalis will receive national identity cards within a year.

The common program includes initiatives ranging from providing national identity cards to all citizens within a year to eliminating all registration fees levied by local governments.
