KATHMANDU: The debate over Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s case has concluded.
The Supreme Court hearing on Rabi Lamichhane’s citizenship and passport dispute, in which he is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, concluded on Friday.
The case against him was heard by a constitutional bench consisting of Permanent Chief Justice Harikrishna Karki, Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada, Ananda Mohan Bhattarai, Anil Kumar Singh, and Prakashman Singh Raut.
The judges are now deliberating on their decision after hearing the arguments of both sides’ lawyers. The bench will rule today on whether to grant an interim order, as requested by the writ petitioner.
