KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, has stated that plans are being made to bring the government’s minimum common program to address issues of direct concern to the people.
He made the remarks while speaking to the media following the Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday. He stated that the minimum common program will be introduced in a manner that respects public opinion and that the work of preparing the draft is now in its final stages.
“We put such topics in the minimum common program, which addresses the direct concerns of citizens,” he said, going beyond the theory of ideas.
He also stated that his Rastriya Swatantra Party wishes to include in the minimum common program issues such as taking special measures to control corruption, forming a common opinion on education and health bills, and using time cards in service delivery.
He stated that the organization is prepared to finalize its draft by Thursday evening and make it public by Friday or Saturday.
