One dead, two injured in Scorpio hit

KATHMANDU: A man from Jitpursimara Sub-Metropolitan-16 Tangiya settlement of Bara died after being hit by a Scorpio while selling vegetables.
Two women were hurt. On Thursday morning, the accident occurred near the Pasaha Bridge on the Pathalaiya-Nijgarh road section.
Police said that 45-year-old Rajendra Majhi of Tangiya settlements died on the spot after a Scorpio traveling from Nijgarh to Pathalaiya collided with a motorcycle and a bicycle traveling in the opposite direction.
Soniya Yonjan, 28, and Rupa Ale Magar, 28, were both injured in the collision.
The injured are being transported to Birgunj Hospital for treatment.
In the morning, a Scorpio number G2CH 4413 approaching from the east from Pasaha Bridge collided with a motorcycle number State 2-03 002P 4587 and two bicycles.
The Scorpio’s driver has been detained by police.
