KATHMANDU: Former Minister of State for Urban Development Ramveer Manandhar will back the Aam Janata Party (AJP), which was founded by former minister Prabhu Sah. AJP Chair Shah and Manandhar, who have long worked together, met at Manandhar’s home in Machhapokhari.
As part of the earlier agreement to form a party together, Manandhar will now advance in the AJP as an organization, according to AJP Propaganda Department Deputy Chief Nisheva Yadav. ‘Our party Chair Prabhu Sah met with former Minister of State for Urban Development Rambir Manandhar. Since they were in the urban ministry, they had a good relationship. This is an extension of that. He (Ramveer Manandhar) is a member of our party,’ Yadav explained.
Manandhar was the state minister in the same ministry when he was the AJP Chair and urban development minister in KP Oli’s government in 2077.
He was elected to the Constituent Assembly Assembly of 2070 and the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency 7, while Manandhar ran as an independent MP candidate from the same region in the recently concluded House of Representatives election.
