KATHMANDU: The Politburo meeting of CPN (Unified Socialists) is taking place.
The meeting will be held today at 11 a.m. at the party’s central office in Aloknagar, according to Jagannath Khatiwada, head of the party’s publicity department and spokesperson.
According to Khatiwada, a standing committee meeting was held on Sunday to discuss how the party will move forward, but no decision was made, and the matter will be brought before the Politburo meeting.
He stated that the meeting will also cover cooperation with other parties and non-participation in government. According to reports, the Politburo meeting will include an in-depth discussion of party building, strengthening, and expansion.
Following the meeting, CPN Maoist Center Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal is expected to present the party’s clear positions on political issues such as whether or not to support the ‘Prachanda’-led government and whether or not to participate in the government.
