First session of SA of State 1 begins today
The Parliament Secretariat has informed that the State Assembly will meet for the first time after the members took their oaths on Dec 26.

BIRATNAGAR: The state assembly is convening for the first time following the elections for the state and representative assemblies.
The Parliament Secretariat has informed that the State Assembly will meet for the first time after the members took their oaths on Dec 26.
The provincial assembly will meet today at 1 p.m., according to state chief Parshuram Khapung. In accordance with Article 183 of the Nepalese Constitution, the State Chief Office called the first session of the State Assembly of State 1 on Jan 1 at 1:00 p.m. in a statement issued on Dec 27.
According to Gopal Parajuli, Secretary of State 1 Assembly, the State Assembly Secretariat has completed all necessary preparations following the convening of the State Assembly session.
Parajuli also stated that the State Assembly Secretariat had finished a two-day orientation for newly elected State Assembly members.
As this is the first meeting of the state assembly, senior member Gayanand Mandal Gangai will preside over the proceedings until the speaker is chosen.
