Topi Diwas being observed today

KATHMANDU: Topi Diwas is observed in Nepal today. For the past few years, the first day of the English New Year has been observed in Nepal as Topi Diwas.
For a few years, this day has been celebrated spontaneously on the first day of the English New Year with the goal of promoting the hat associated with Nepali originality. Today marks the start of the English New Year 2023.
This day is also observed by Nepalis and Nepali speakers living outside of Nepal. Nepali topi are particularly Bhaad-gaaule Topi and Dhaka Topi. However, different Nepalese communities wear caps that reflect their identity and tradition.
On Topi Diwas, the Nepali community in Nepal and abroad organizes a variety of programs.
Awareness Youth Campaign Nepal has recently been holding various Topi Diwas programs.
