Krishna Prasad Yadav elected as leader of NC Madhesh SA PR

KATHMANDU: Krishna Prasad Yadav has been elected as the leader of Nepali Congress Madhesh State Assembly (SA) Parliamentary Party (PR).

Congress has 22 MPs in Madhesh State. Out of which, Yadav was elected as the leader of the party by getting 18 votes.

According to the election committee, Ram Saroj Yadav, the outgoing party’s leader who ran against him, received only four votes.

When there was no agreement on the party’s leader, elections were held at the party’s Madhesh state office in Janakpur.

Yadav, the party’s elected leader, is a Rautahat Constituency No. 1 MP (2). He also defeated Ram Saroj for the position of party state president.
