Butwal’s DSP Thag Bahadur KC suspended

KATHMANDU: Butwal District Police Office Thag Bahadur KC, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), has been suspended.

According to police sources, the Ministry of Home Affairs suspended KC on Thursday based on the Police Headquarters’ recommendation.

After learning that KC had seized 35 tolas of gold from a gold merchant and had taken bribes, the Central Investigation Bureau of Police (CIB) launched an investigation.

After recovering 35 tolas of gold, 8 lakh 50 thousand rupees, and 9 lakh 50 thousand rupees in the name of Khim GC from his residence, police arrested him.

He was recommended for suspension by the Lumbini State Police Head Office.
