Madhesh State: Elections being held to select leader of NC parliamentary party

KATHMANDU: Elections for the leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party, the second largest in Madhesh State, will take place today.

Krishna Prasad Yadav and Ram Saroj Yadav have registered their candidacy for party leader in the election, which began at the party’s Madhesh state office in Janakpurdham.

According to Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Coordinator of the Election Committee, only two people registered their nominations between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.

According to him, the voting time is set between 3 and 4 p.m.

The Madhesh State Chairperson of the Krishna Party has registered his candidacy for party leader, and Ram Saroj is the outgoing parliamentary party’s leader.

The Nidhi group is thought to include Krishna Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Ram Saroj Bimal Chandra.

Nepali Congress has 22 MPs in Madhesh Pradesh Sabha.
