The counting of votes has begun following the election of the Congress parliamentary party.
The election is being contested by central member Bahadur Lama and state chairman Indra Bahadur Baniyan.
In Bagmati province, the Nepali Congress has 37 MPs. To win, the party’s leader needs 19 votes.
