Gandaki: For selection of leaders 2 candidates registered their nominations

KATHMANDU: Congress has started selecting the leader of the parliamentary party in Gandaki.

Two leaders have registered their nominations for today’s election.

Surendra Pandey, a central member, and Bhojraj Aryal, a leader, have both registered their candidacy. Despite repeated attempts to reach an agreement, it failed and went to the election process.

Bindu Kumar Thapa proposed Pandey, who was supported by Dr Tankaraj Gurung.

Another competitor, Aryal, is backed up by Mahendradhwaj GC and Parvati Tamang.

Pandey’s mentor Thapa and Aryal’s mentor GC had previously claimed party leadership. However, only two candidates were chosen in the end.
