Nepal’s first ever international Singing & Dancing reality show calls for application
During the grand announcement ceremony at Naxal's Marriott Hotel, the foundation announced that people from all over the world can register for the audition by downloading the Intra Foundation App.
KATHMANDU: The Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America will host the first Nepali International dancing and singing reality show titled ‘Mero Dance Universe’ and ‘Mero Voice Universe’ in order to promote Nepali culture around the world.
During the grand announcement ceremony at Naxal’s Marriott Hotel, the foundation announced that people from all over the world can register for the audition by downloading the Intra Foundation App. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to communicate in Nepali.
Mr Dilli Adhikari, President of the Foundation, stated, “To preserve our culture, we must all work together. Our identity is rooted in our language, culture, and assistance to those in need.” “The Foundation’s main goal is to bring a musical revolution in the Nepali entertainment industry,” he adds.
Following the primary selection, the foundation will hold physical auditions in various parts of the world. ‘Mero Voice Universe’ will be judged by several well-known artists, including Suresh Adhikari, Shiva Pariyar, Anju Panta, Sujata Varma, and Pushpan Pradhan.
Whereas Mero Dance Universe will be judged by Mithila Sharma, Dilip Rayamajhi, Shankar BC, Keki Adhikari, Priyanka Karki, and Narman Rai.
Both of these shows will be directed by Aleen Shrestha, who has directed several national and international reality shows such as Nepal Idol, Boogie Woogie, Nepal Lok Star, and Saregamapa Lil Champs.
The winner of ‘Mero Dance Universe’ will receive a cash prize of Rs One Crore, according to the foundation. Similarly, the first and second runners-up will each receive Rs 30 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs.
Similarly, the winner of ‘My Dance Universe’ will receive a prize of Rs One Crore. Whereas, first runner-up of this show will receive Rs 30 lakhs and the second runner-up will receive Rs 20 lakhs.
This is the largest cash prize ever offered in Nepalese reality show competitions. Aside from Nepal, the foundation hopes to attract large numbers of participants from Myanmar, Thailand, Bhutan, India, Australia, the United States, Canada, and some European countries.
These shows’ applications are now open and will remain so until the end of January.
