Ananta to be honored with ‘Best National Football Player’ award

KATHMANDU: Ananta Tamang Anjan, the Nepali national football team’s defender, will be awarded the best national football player in 2079.

Issuing a press conference on Tuesday, Sahara Club Pokhara said that Ananta will be honored.

Ananta will be honored on Dec 29 at the start of the Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup football tournament. Ananta will receive a certificate of honor and 50,000 rupees.

Every year, Sahara honors one member of the national team.

Bharat Khawas, Kiran Chemjong, Sujal Shrestha, Abhishek Rijal, and Anjan Bista were previously honored.
