Modi congratulates Prachanda on being elected Nepal’s PM

KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Nepal’s newly appointed Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, known as Prachanda.

Prime Minister Modi congratulated Chairperson Prachanda on his appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal through a tweet on Sunday evening.

“Warmest congratulations @cmprachanda on being elected as the Prime Minister of Nepal. The unique relationship between India and Nepal is based on deep cultural connect and warm people-to-people ties. I look forward to working together with you to further strengthen this friendship,” Modi said in a tweet.
