Surya Nepal Golf Tour to holds its 2nd event from Dec 27

KATHMANDU: The Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2022-23’s second event, the Surya Nepal Eastern Open, will begin on Tuesday, Dec 27, 2022, at the Dharan Golf Club in Dharan.
Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is sponsoring the event, which will be played over 54 holes over three days and will have a total purse of Rs. 800,000.
The winner will receive Rs. 140,000, the runner-up Rs. 90,000, and the third place Rs. 67,000. Other top 21 finishers will also receive cash prizes.
The tournament will conclude on Friday, Dec 30, with amateur golfers joining the pros in the Pro-Am event.
Sukra Bahadur Rai, Bhuwan Nagarkoti, Jayaram Shrestha, Mani Rai Sanjay Lama, and Dhana Thapa are the event’s top contenders.
After two days of play (36 holes), the top 21 professionals and ties, as well as the top six amateurs, will be cut, and those who survive the professional cut will play the final 18 holes.
The Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2022-23 features eight tournaments with a total purse of 6.185 million.
