KATHMANDU: Nepal Police Superintendent Rameshwar Yadav has been found guilty of corruption.

Supreme Court (SC) judges Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Til Prasad Shrestha of the SC found him guilty in the corruption case.

A special court had previously acquitted him in this case. The SC overturned the special court’s decision and convicted him.

A corruption case was filed against him in the year 2070, while he was working in the District Police Office Rupandehi, on the charge of irregularly settling the case. He was also promoted after being cleared by the special court.

Along with him, the SC convicted constable Dhak Bahadur Gurung in the case.
