KATHMANDU: Two of the four House members who failed to take the oath on Thursday will do so today.

Today, the Maoist Center’s Mahindra Ray Yadav and Ram Kumar Rai will take the oath of office and secrecy.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, they will be sworn in at 11:30 a.m. by Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana, a senior member of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Yadav and Rai, who live outside the valley, were unable to attend the swearing-in ceremony because their flights were delayed due to inclement weather.

Prem Bahadur Ale of the CPN-S and Maya Rai of the Nepali Congress were also absent from the ceremony.

Ale is in family grief, and Rai has been admitted to the hospital due to postpartum. They can take an oath in their favor, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

Other HoR members were sworn in on Thursday at Parliament House New Baneshwor.
