KATHMANDU: Social Development Minister of Madhesh State Nawal Kishor Sah has also taken oath as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) without resigning from the post of minister.
Sah was elected as a member of the HoR from Saptari Constituency No 1 on behalf of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).
Elected as a member of the State Assembly from Saptari 1 (2) in 2074, he is a minister in Madhesh. Today, along with other senior MPs, senior member Pashupati Shumsher took oath. After taking the oath, he will be seen in a dual role.
Sah was elected from the then-RJPN in 2074. However, RJPN and JSP merged, and Mahanth Thakur remained in JSP for a few days after leaving to save his ministerial position.
Sah is one of the fortunate ministers who has completed his five-year term.
