Man arrested for beating death

KATHMANDU: Hasta Bahadur Limbu, 30, of Letang Municipality-1, was arrested on Tuesday night on charge of beating to death Durga Kumar Rai, 43, of Kerabari Rural Municipality-9.

Rai, who was seriously injured in a general dispute on Sunday afternoon, was taken to Neuro Hospital Biratnagar for treatment, but after learning that he died shortly after being returned home, police from district police station Belbari arrested Limbu, who was involved in the beating.

The police are looking into the matter further.
