KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba and General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa will compete for the post of Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party leader.
Joint General Minister Badri Pandey announced that NC General Minister Thapa, who had previously stated publicly that he would run for party leader, would run as a candidate.
The deadline for filing nominations for the NC Parliamentary Party has been fixed from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. today.
The election of the leader of the NC parliamentary party will be held on Dec 21.
Voting will take place on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the NC Parliamentary Party’s office in Singha Durbar.
