KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has said that discussions have started within the party on whether to join the government or not.
Speaking to the media after the refreshment ceremony held by the Election Commission (EC), the Chairperson said that with the call for the formation of the government, the discussion on whether to join the government or not has also started within his party.
He stated that the practice so far has been whether or not the party will go to the government, and that his party is attempting to bring the agenda to the government.
He stated that the party’s agenda is the priority of the future government and that he will only participate in the government if there is agreement on that matter.
He has expressed the opinion that if he fulfills his promises and agenda to the people, the environment can become different, otherwise there is no point in going to the government just for the sake of joining the government.
