Nominations will be accepted today from 2 to 3 p.m.

KATHMANDU: Nominations are being registered today for the election of the Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party leader.
According to the schedule issued by the election committee headed by NC Joint General Minister Bhishmaraj Angdembe, the MP who will become the parliamentary party’s leader must register his candidacy today.
Nominations will be accepted today from 2 to 3 p.m. A fee of 51,000 must be paid to become a candidate.
Leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala and General Minister Gagan Thapa are preparing to run for parliamentary party leader alongside President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Efforts are being made, however, to reach an agreement between Koirala and Thapa.
The NC parliamentary party’s 89 members will vote in the election. NC parliamentary party election is being held on Wednesday.
