KATHMANDU: The cabinet meeting on Sunday (today) made eight different decisions.

At a press conference on Monday, Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki announced the decision.

The cabinet meeting on Sunday has decided to use the national forest area for the construction of 220 kV transmission line of Nilgiri Khola 1 and 2 hydroelectric projects.

The decision of the Council of Ministers meeting, according to Karki, was to use the national forest area for the construction of the 220kV transmission line for the Nilgiri Khola 1 and 2 hydroelectric projects.

He also said that it has been decided to use the national forest area for the construction of the Upper Phawa Khola Hydropower project.

Another decision was said to be the decision to include additional conditions for hydropower projects within the conservation area, approving the order on determining the quality standards of grain-based supplementary baby food, approving the order on determining the maximum amount of heavy metals in food, and approving the seasonal workers management guidelines, 2079.
