KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party’s chairperson, Rabi Lamichhane, has stated that the party is debating whether or not to join the government.

Speaking to the media after the Election Commission’s refreshment ceremony on Monday, the President stated that with the call for the formation of the government, the discussion within his party about whether to join the government has begun.

He stated that his party intends to present the agenda to the government. He stated that if he fulfills his commitments and agenda to the people, he will be able to go to the government, regardless of the environment.

However, he believes that going to the government for the sake of going is inappropriate.

He further said that the party had chosen him to be its leader.

Lamichhane stated that no party member was barred from speaking.
